Effortless Ideas For When You Have Nothing To Wear
What to wear? Decision! Decision! Decision!
Do you want to hit the town and are in the mood to dress nicely? Have you been looking through your closet with disappointed eyes?
Don’t fret, because your search on the Internet ends here. We all have been there, and this article will help you create an outfit out of the mere things of your wardrobe.
“What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language.” —Miuccia Prada

Simple is Better
Yes, you have heard that before. And so have we. But it is actually the best advice you can ever get. Whenever you find yourself hit with the so-called artist block, or in this case, outfit-block, the safest way to choose is to go simple. There is no need for too much color, too much bling, or too many layers. A tight shirt, skinny jeans, and one-color shoes can do wonders.
But this doesn’t exactly solve your problem, does it? So stay tuned for more tips, tricks, and ideas!
The Black Color Trick
When that color combo you wanted to try just doesn’t feel right, go for black. It’s the color of all possibilities! And even better, you can go for any mood with it: elegant, sleek, laid-back, sexy.
Think about that black shirt hanging lonely in your closet. Think about those black jeans or skirts that have been waiting for you to wear them for a while. Get them out and work with them!
“One is never over-dressed or under-dressed with a Little Black Dress.” —Karl Lagerfeld
Use That Belt
Whether you chose to go simple with black or with any other color, it is very important to accentuate your waist, cut yourself in two, and add that something that lacks when you look in the mirror.
A belt can turn your ‘meh’ outfit into that expensive look in a matter of seconds.
Say you chose a tight one-color aesthetic. Add a shiny belt, and that’s it. You’re good to go.
Say you have this beautiful oversized shirt but aren’t into that kind of chill look. Add a belt, puff it out, show some shoulders, and your outfit is completely changed.
The Jewelry
Going back to no. 1, simple is better. Never add too much jewelry if you go for, say, an elegant, sleek look.
There are three basic pieces of jewelry: earrings, necklaces, rings.
The rule is as follows: two out of three. It’s either earrings and necklaces, rings and earrings or necklaces and rings, but not all of them at once.
Of course, to each their own, and if you feel like you can rock all three pieces at once, then do it and never think of what others are saying. But if you want to take our advice, don’t go for too much all at once.
Another important thing to remember is to choose either silver, or gold, or whichever metal you prefer but do not combine them because it gives a certain feeling of kitsch.
Tuck it In
Sometimes the secret to changing your look can be just as simple: tuck it in. Whatever top you have, be it tight or large, if you tuck in the front of the whole top, it turns into something else. It accentuates your waist and elongates your legs.
Layering
Layering is more often than not a Russian Roulette event, as it can turn out looking well, or really…Not.
But it is practice that makes it perfect, doesn’t it? That is why you have to experiment with layering and see what pieces of clothing can be worn under or over others.
Our advice is to always have a basic tight piece of clothing, as it helps to layer a lot.
Now that we have shared the tips, let’s see what we can do with them.
Outfit no. 1: Black tight shirt, black skinny jeans with a shiny belt, ankle boots, silver earrings, and a necklace.
Outfit no.2: A tight top, oversized shirt with a belt and bare shoulders, leather leggings, boots, earrings, and rings.
Outfit no.3: A large shirt with a high-waisted skirt, boots or heels, earrings.
Outfit no.4: A tight, simple dress with a different colored jacket, or a shirt, sports shoes, boots, heels, and jewelry to taste.

I love your styling tips so much! I definitely agree that a tuck or half tuck can really make an outfit more flattering! As someone with coloring that is not flattered at all by black, I opt for navy blue instead.

I have my “go-to” black pants. They can be dressed up or dressed down. Great ideas!
