Cleopatra’s Glamorous Milk And Honey Bath
We’ve all heard of the beautiful Queen of Eygpt, Cleopatra.
Well, it was no secret that she had an ethereal complexion that we would all love to have. One of the beauty treatments that kept Cleopatra looking young and her skin delicate is the milk and honey bath.
As stated in the name, one of the most important ingredients is milk, containing lactic acid to help with the exfoliation of your skin. Skin exfoliation brings newer, healthier cells to the surface, leaving your skin pearly and fresh. The lactic acid also helps to cleanse the deepest layers of your skin.
Another main ingredient is honey.
Honey has plenty of components that bring out beneficial health properties, such as sugars, including glucose and fructose.
Honey also has a small amount of alpha hydroxy acid. This, in addition to the abundance of minerals and vitamins, leaves your skin nourished and healed.
Lastly, honey has a natural anti-inflammatory effect which heals wounds instantly, making it a good alternative to dress wounds.
Below are a few ways to compose Cleopatra’s beauty bath, using the two main ingredients of milk and honey:
Cleopatra’s Honey & Milk Bath
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Powdered Milk
- 1/2 Cup Raw Honey
- 2 teaspoon Jojoba Oil (optional)
Instructions
- Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl, the larger the better.
- Then pour it into a warm bath.
- Soak for at least 20 minutes to animate these ingredients in your skin.
This recipe makes enough for one Cleopatra inspired bath.
Milk & Honey Rinse for Wrinkled Skin
Ingredients
- 1 oz raw honey
- 1 cup skim milk
- 2 teaspoons aloe vera gel
Instructions
- Pour all of the ingredients in a jar and shake it well.
- Then apply it to your face in both the morning and the evening with a cotton ball.
- You’ll soon have the soft and clear face of Cleopatra.
The mixture can be stored in a refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
Incorporating these two beauty recipes into your daily regime will help you to experience the soft and beautiful complexion of Cleopatra.
Although it was discovered many years ago, recipes consisting of milk and honey are still proven to leave your skin young, healthy, and vibrant.
Even better, milk and honey are widely available – just visit your local grocery store.
